Dr. Yasemin Kilical is a board certified pediatric dentist. She was raised in the Washington D.C. suburbs and always knew from a young age she wanted to be a dentist. She graduated from The George Washington University in three years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then relocated to New York City and attended dental school at Columbia University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Yasemin then completed a General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital and specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Interfaith Medical Center, both in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Yasemin was also actively involved in research while in dental school at Columbia University, and also worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for two years, resulting in numerous publications. Her areas of research were the role of stem cells in the treatment of leukemia and oral cancer.
She is a member of many organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Yasemin treats children of all ages starting from infancy to the adolescence. She provides comprehensive and preventative treatment including: exams, sealants, tooth-colored restorations, extractions, and emergency care and management. Dr. Yasemin truly believes that dentistry should be a fun experience for children, while also providing high-quality dental care in a caring and gentle way. When not in the office, Dr. Yasemin enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
