You know you need braces, but what are your options? Invisalign is one of the most popular orthodontic treatment options because it’s an excellent alternative to metal braces. Because Invisalign uses transparent aligners instead of metal brackets and wires, it’s a method for straightening the teeth that is preferred by individuals that don’t want their braces to show.
But will Invisalign work for everyone? Unfortunately, it won’t. While it’s an effective option for many patients, there are certain people who may benefit more from traditional metal braces. The best way to determine whether Invisalign is right for you is to speak with Dr. Frank in person.
The following questions will help you determine if you may be a good candidate for Invisalign:
- How severe are your orthodontic issues? Invisalign is excellent for fixing many mild to moderate orthodontic issues, but it has its limitations. If your case it too severe, Invisalign might not work for you.
- What is your age? Invisalign is often not recommended for very young orthodontic patients.
- Are you dedicated to wearing your aligners? The key to success with Invisalign is that the aligners must be worn consistently. If you don’t think you can commit to wearing your aligners 20-22 hours a day, you might want to opt for traditional metal braces.
Invisalign is achieves excellent results and has many benefits compared with traditional braces. Speak to Dr. Frank to find out if Invisalign is right for you.
