Dental implants are an excellent solution for replacing a missing tooth or missing teeth because they look, feel and work like your natural teeth.

Although dental implants are safe and effective for most patients with missing teeth, they are not right for everyone; your consultation will determine if dental implants are the best treatment option for you.

The dental implants procedure requires two office visits between three and six months apart. The first phase of dental implants involves the placing of your actual dental implant, which is a titanium post that will serve as a replacement root for your artificial tooth.

After your jawbone fuses around the implant to hold it securely in place, you will return for the placement of your porcelain dental crown. Your porcelain crown is custom made to look and function like a natural tooth, as well as blend with your surrounding existing teeth for a seamless smile.

When the procedure to place your dental crown atop your dental implant is complete, your new “tooth” will perform just as your other natural teeth. Dental implants allow you to speak, bite and chew normally. They are also easy to maintain with a good oral health routine.
